Upgrading gear increases its base stats, and sometimes boosts its extras. The value of these upgrade is determined by the tiers of gear, their requirements, and the number of random augmentations are applied.

Reroll Tokens

Reroll tokens allow you to reroll an item you have acquired like armor, weapon or rings. This replaces the item with another of the same kind and comes with different benefits. Reroll tokens can be a cost-effective way to upgrade gear. They don't maintain the original item's level and any money wasted will not be refunded.

Reroll tokens can be obtained by survivors via a variety of methods, including from the Mistery Box or as rare drops from skulled creatures. They can also be located in crates and chests, or purchased from the store for 150k each. Reroll tokens are used to alter the attributes of an item, for example increasing its damage.

Players can roll equipment with three attributes, physical power, spell power, and health. Physical power upgrades increase the damage that melee and weapons and spell power upgrades mage attacks and rings. Health upgrades give the player an extra health.

There are three types of reroll tokens: upgrade, rare, and legendary. Each of these upgrades the item to a better quality. To create them, you'll need a higher level reroll token. Upgrades with enhanced capabilities require a common item, rare upgrades require a unique or legendary item and legendary upgrades require three legendary items.

As opposed to other tokens or markers that are placed on Action spaces, the reroll marker remains on the spot until the next Success result is to be rerolled. This allows you to avoid wasting upgrades.

Blueprints appear in the form of envelopes at the beginning of each Preparation Phase and can be opened by grabbing them with Interact. When they are opened, they display a description and icon for the Ingredient or Appliance. After choosing the item to upgrade, the user must choose the number of Growth Stones that they want to purchase and pay the cost. Once the player has satisfied the requirements, he is able to click the upgrade button and apply the Growth Stones. The item will be raised in level by a specific percentage. Depending on the rarity of the item and rarity, the upgrade process could take between seconds and minutes.

The upgrade process is risk-free, and does not impact the longevity of the item. This makes it an ideal way for players to gain a significant advantage in combat without putting stress on their accounts. Furthermore, players can transfer the experience and advancement of an upgraded item onto a new item by clicking the "transfer" tab.

The process of getting Growth Stones in Throne and Liberty can be a challenge for players who are new to the game. When an item reaches its maximum level, it will no longer have the option to upgrade. Likewise, once a piece of gear reaches an upgrade track (e.g. Upgrades for the Veteran or Explorer track will be discounted.

Upgrade components are a form of equipment that can be put into weapons, armor trinkets, trinkets, or gathering tools to provide an additional bonus or effect while the equipment is equipped. They can be bought from vendors, looted, obtained through quests or exchanged between players. Certain items are better off being upgraded not so much for their improved stats, but more for the fact that it allows players to get the most value from a perfect roll on the item. When you choose an upgrade component to be inserted into an item the game will display a pop-up window that shows the required requirements. This includes the type of item (either weapon or armor), the level of the item and the upgrade Token required, as well as the amount of progress required to complete the upgrade.

The game will place an item in your inventory when you've fulfilled the requirements for an upgrade. The progress bar will update to show you how close you are to completing the upgrade. You can also check the status of an upgrade by visiting any NPC that upgrades items.
